Friends of Keep Berkeley Beautiful sponsors the Youth Initiative and Participation Incentive (YIPI) to recognize youth who volunteer with Keep Berkeley Beautiful and community projects that share the KBB goals of litter reduction, recycling, and community beautification. To apply, the young person must keep a log of at least 20 volunteer service hours related our goals with at least 8 of those being spent on litter cleanups. Program is open to youth aged 12 through 17. Two prizes are available, 1st place $500 and 2nd place $200. See the application packet for details.
